Skiing Training Facilities

New Mexico has some of the finest ski areas in the world and the University of New Mexico ski team takes full advantage. Head coach Fredrik Landstedt has established long lasting relationships between the UNM Ski Team and the area ski resorts that allow the Lobos plenty of training time throughout the season.

This season the Lobos will host their home Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association event on February 8-9, 2008. The Alpine races will take place at Taos Ski Valley while the Nordic team will compete at Red River Ski Area.
