Nine Lobos Earn Arthur Ashe Sports Scholars HonorsNine University of New Mexico student-athletes were named 2008 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars in this week's Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. The Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars Awards were created to honor minority undergraduate students who have made achieving both academically and athletically a winning combination.

Women's Soccer Concludes Spring With Successful Alumni WeekendNew Mexico women's soccer recently concluded the spring with an exciting alumni weekend. The Lobos hosted one of the most successful fundraising events of the year Friday night with games and an opportunity for past and current Lobos to gather. The annual event was well attended by member of the team, parents and former players.

182 Lobos Honored For Work In The ClassroomThe University of New Mexico Athletics Department recently honored 182 Lobo student-athletes at the Fifth Annual Student-Athlete Academic Awards Celebration. Student-athletes were recognized for excellence in the classroom by maintaining a 3.20 or higher cumulative grade point average and excellence as active members of their team. 16 student-athletes are currently maintaining a 4.0 or higher cumulative grade point average.

Lobo Soccer Provides Free Clinics For Albuquerque YouthThe New Mexico men's and women's soccer teams recently provided four free clinics to members of local leagues and clubs. The clinics provided area members of the U9-U14 a chance to play and interact with UNM soccer athletes. The clinics were held at the Robertson Training Facility. 2/13/2008
Lobo Women's Soccer Announces Spring ScheduleThe New Mexico women's soccer team has released its 2008 spring schedule. The Lobos will play five dates including two tournaments. The Arizona Rush College Showcase and the Temecula College Showcase highlight the spring schedule.
